Introduction
Although we may go through each day without thinking much about it, our bodies are constantly performing incredible feats.
The heart beats about 100,000 times a day. The kidneys filter hundreds of liters of blood daily. The intestines work around the clock to digest and absorb food.
These internal organs support our lives silently and tirelessly. In this post, I’d like to share some thoughts on the significance of these organs, and how their activity may be related to chronic pain and long-term health.

1. Our Internal Organs Work Every Day
The heart beats around 3.1 billion times in an 85-year lifespan.
The lungs breathe over 7 million times a year.
The kidneys filter over 5 million liters of plasma in a lifetime.
The intestines never rest, constantly moving to process the food we eat.
When we realize that this all happens automatically, without our awareness, it gives us a deep sense of awe at how magnificently the human body is designed.
2. The Greatness of the Unconscious
Our ability to walk, eat, sleep, and talk—these daily activities are possible because of a complex system that includes the autonomic nervous system and the internal organs.
Our internal organs are influenced by everything: stress, diet, sleep quality, posture, and more.
Even with all these influences, they continue to do their work without complaint.
Taking time to acknowledge this invisible effort and expressing gratitude toward our own body can help us foster a better relationship with our health.
3. The Relationship Between Chronic Pain and Internal Organs
Chronic pain in the lower back, shoulders, knees, and hips may be deeply connected to how our internal organs function.
Recent studies have shown interesting links:
- Gut microbiota imbalances can lead to chronic inflammation and even joint pain.
- Reduced detoxification by the liver or kidneys can lead to a buildup of toxins in the body, potentially causing inflammation and discomfort.
- People with chronic pain are more likely to develop serious diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, or cancer later in life.
From this perspective, chronic pain may serve as a warning sign of internal stress or imbalance.
In Conclusion
Our organs are truly the life force within us.
To protect their work, we must strive to live in harmony with our body—by eating well, resting adequately, moving efficiently, and maintaining good posture and emotional balance.
Let’s listen to the signals our bodies send us, appreciate the tireless work of our organs, and move forward with care and awareness.
